What was your best experience during the Rotterdam100?
“My best experience during the Rotterdam100 was pitching our concept to the challenger right after the 24-Hour Creation Battle, on no sleep! The adrenaline rush I felt during the 5 minutes of that pitch, simply cannot be explained.”

“The organisers and challengers of the Rotterdam100 were extraordinarily kind and caring, truly special. It was awesome to be put into such a positive and productive environment, which elevates you and the other participants. It made working more enjoyable.”
What did you think of the challengers?
“The professionals from the challenger companies worked with us very closely and eye to eye. At each moment we all felt the love and dedication that went into their company and us students. And I mean that as I say it.”
Did the Rotterdam100 bring what you expected?
“Overall I had no idea what awaited me. From the very first moment I was truly impressed by the people and the organization. I feel blessed to have been chosen.”
How would you summarize the Rotterdam100?
“The Rotterdam100 is a must for anyone looking to challenge themselves. Not just in a professional way, but also on a personal level. The various challenges that were being presented and the different solutions that each team took, were very educational.”
Can you describe your collaboration with your team?
“Working alongside my team members was my favorite aspect. Learning from them by taking different approaches and insights from students just like me, creating a solution for a problem and presenting it to a well known Dutch company, (especially in such a limited amount of time) was definitely a key takeaway from this challenge for me. Contributing together to make Rotterdam a resilient city with all these brilliant and talented professionals has been a privilege and an experience I will never forget.”

How did the Rotterdam100 create an impact on you?
“The Rotterdam100 made me realize that everyone can exceed the limits of what you thought you could achieve as a human. To do something far beyond that and with that, discovering your true potential. The best part is that you will be able to share this experience with many others like-minded people.”
What was your best experience during the Rotterdam100?
“My best experience during the Rotterdam100 was the inhouse day of my challenger Woonstad Rotterdam. They invited us to set sail on an interactive journey through Rotterdam, discover what problems they are facing and how they are trying to help out every citizen as much as they can. Having upper-management to come talk with us on the topic of the housing crisis was the cherry on top!”

“It really puts you in a situation where you have to know yourself really well to put up with different people and tasks. Looking at whole program, i am really grateful for all the people who joined their hands to put such a huge p together. It worked out really well.”

What was your favorite moment?
“ For sure, the Rotterdam-100 team that got me through the last few hours of the 24-Hour Creation Battle. I was fasting so it really was relieving to have someone keep an eye on you. Also the timing of the popcorn at 3 am was perfect!”
How would you summarize the Rotterdam100?
“I think it is the perfect project to throw yourself outside your comfort zone, to push your boundaries and to dream big. This is the place where you are not limited in your imagination, enthusiasm and energy. Some things are kept secret from you, sometimes you feel lost in the process and sometimes this is frustrating. But this makes you learn to be ready in different situations and to not be afraid of the unknown.”

What did you gain from participating?
“Pushing my limits in terms of sleep deprivation and staying motivated to keep developing. To learn that despite the fatigue, you should keep pushing yourself to make things happen and for the rest of your team. But also, to work very closely with a team of amazing, like-minded but diverse students that were unknown to you before. I would say that throughout the Creation Battle, the R100 prize was not on our minds. But rather the motivation to create something out of nothing, to explore a plethora of unknown paths, to have fun in the process with every team and the amazing organisers. I can also not forget to mention all amazing food that was being delivered.”
